Hi, I’m Alina Turungiu. I spent 17 years in treasury before I decided to fix it.

I started in banking. Moved to corporate treasury. Worked across global operations, managing cash positions, FX exposure, bank relationships, and everything in between. I’ve done treasury in Excel, in enterprise TMS platforms that cost more than my team’s annual budget, and in systems held together by VBA macros and good intentions.

After 17 years of this, one thing became impossible to ignore: treasury professionals spend most of their time on work that machines should be doing. Copying data between banking portals. Reconciling cash flows manually. Building the same reports every month from scratch. Maintaining spreadsheets that break every time someone changes a formula.

The enterprise solutions exist, but they cost six or seven figures. They take 12 months to implement. They require dedicated IT teams to maintain. If your company is not a Fortune 500, you’re out of the conversation. So you stay in Excel and pretend it’s fine.

What I Believe

Treasury is one of the last corporate functions still running on manual processes and disconnected spreadsheets. Not because the people are behind, but because the market has ignored them. Every vendor optimized for large enterprise contracts. Nobody built for the treasurer who manages 15 bank accounts across 4 countries with a team of two.

That’s who I build for.

I believe treasury automation doesn’t require a seven-figure budget. I believe AI in treasury should solve real problems, not generate pitch decks. I believe the best treasury tools should be built by people who’ve actually done the work.
